Taking Radical Responsibility For Your Healing & Healing

True healing begins when you start to take radical responsibility for your health and well-being. This means no longer relying on outside sources to give you answers or make you feel better, and rather going within, doing the inner work, and finding empowerment in your healing through your own knowledge and understanding. 


A great place to start is with understanding the mind-body connection. The Mind|Body connection shows you that your thoughts, emotions and beliefs all have an incredible impact on our physical, mental & emotional health. When you take a holistic approach to healing, you recognize that true healing must begin from within, and that by taking ownership of our health and healing, you can begin to create your own reality and begin experiencing true wellbeing.


This inner work can be challenging and uncomfortable at times, but it is also incredibly powerful. Through conscious self-awareness, reflection, exploration, and optimized self-care, you can create lasting changes in your life that lead you to greater joy and wellbeing. 


The key is to focus on the present moment, rather than dwelling in past stories or future fears. When you take time each day to think positive thoughts, practice gratitude, exercise and nurture your body with healthy foods and activities, you’re paving the way for deep healing. Through building awareness, optimally listening & communicating with your body’s needs, and with an unwavering commitment to yourself & your healing, you can become an empowered, confident & effective self-healer.


For most of my life I suffered with chronic pain, chronic disease symptoms, and chronic mental health challenges. When I stopped playing victim, started taking full responsibility for my current experience, and began taking small steps forward that aligned with my desired outcome, I started truly healing. I'm grateful for the support system & mentors I had along the way that helped me through the process because doing it alone was really challenging.


By taking radical responsibility for your health and healing, you open yourself up to experience greater joy, peace, love and vitality. What an incredible journey of self-discovery it can be!


Taking radical responsibility of your health means taking complete ownership and accountability for your own well-being. Here are some steps you can take to do this:



1. Educate yourself: Start by learning as much as you can about your body, health, and well-being. Read books, research online, talk to experts, find the right mentors, and attend workshops or seminars. The more you know, the better equipped you will be to make informed decisions about your health.



2. Adopt healthy habits: Take steps to adopt healthy habits such as regular exercise, a balanced diet, getting enough sleep, reducing stress, and avoiding harmful substances such as tobacco and excessive alcohol. These habits can help prevent or manage many health conditions and support you in optimizing your health & vitality.


3. Listen to your body: Pay attention to your body's signals and listen to what it is telling you. If something feels off, make adjustments to your habits and routines and seek medical attention if need be. Don't ignore symptoms, brush things under the rug, or put off responding to your body’s needs.


4. Take action: Take action to address any health issues you may have. This may include changing your daily habits & routines, seeking medical care, changing your diet & supplementation, and making lifestyle changes to manage symptoms.


5. Be proactive: Don't wait until you have a health crisis or severe pain to start taking care of yourself. Be proactive and take steps to prevent illness and injury before they occur. This may include getting regular exercise, prioritizing sleep, seeing the doctor regularly, working with a coach or mentor to heal better, and proactively seeking physical & mental health support.


6. Own your choices: Finally, take ownership of your health choices. You are the one who decides what to eat, what to think, the words you use, whether or not to exercise, how you support yourself, and whether or not to seek medical care. By owning your choices, you can take control of your health and well-being. 


Taking radical responsibility for your healing is not an easy task, but it is one that can bring immense reward. When you take radical responsibility without judgment of yourself or others, you heal yourself & the world. It's easy to play the victim role and place the blame on others (including doctors) but doing so you sabotage your own ability to heal. By going within and developing your relationship with yourself and enhancing your inner healing powers, you can tap into your limitless healing potential. 


When you choose to take radical responsibility for where your health & wellbeing is now, radical responsibility for all the choices you made that got you to this exact point, and radical responsibility for reaching your healing goals, you can then embrace the possibility of a life full of joy, health and wellbeing. I did it, and I know that you can too.
